Australis Cruises is nominated in the World Cruise Awards
We're honored to share that Australis has been nominated once again in the World Cruise Awards. 💙
A full day from Puerto Natales to see two of the great highlights of Chilean Patagonia, unhurried and without changing base.
We start at Milodón Cave, a cavern over two hundred metres deep where the remains of a giant ground sloth that lived here more than ten thousand years ago were found. From there we head into Torres del Paine National Park, crossing steppe and forest, with guanacos and rheas in sight along the road.
Inside the park we visit the main viewpoints and lagoons, and walk to Salto Grande, where the Paine river drops with a roar you hear before you see it. The last stop is Grey Lake: walk to a viewpoint overlooking the icebergs calved from Grey Glacier, floating blue on the water.
We return to Puerto Natales at the end of the day. The walks are gentle, with short ups and downs, and require no previous experience.
Entrance fees to Torres del Paine National Park and to the Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument are not included and are purchased directly at www.pasesparques.cl. We recommend buying them in advance.
Lunch inside the park can be added for CLP 37,000 per person (optional).
