Three hours through the capital of Chilean Patagonia, at your own pace and with your own guide

Punta Arenas is the capital of Chilean Patagonia and the starting point for a good share of the expeditions heading to Antarctica. Founded in 1848 as a penal colony at the southern tip of the American continent, it grew into a hub for European and Chilote immigrants who gave it the face it has today.
The tour starts at Cerro de la Cruz, the lookout from which the city finally makes sense: the coloured roofs, the Strait of Magellan and, in the distance, Tierra del Fuego. We then head down to Muñoz Gamero Square, the heart of Punta Arenas since the late nineteenth century, with its craft stalls, the monument to Ferdinand Magellan and the neoclassical mansions built by the wool barons.
From there the route adapts to what interests you: a museum of your choice, or the municipal cemetery, one of the most remarkable on the continent. Before returning to your hotel we drive through the northern part of the city and its monuments to the shepherd, the Croatian immigrant and the oil industry.
Price per person, based on a group of 2 passengers. For other group sizes, please ask for a quote.
