The lighthouse at the southern tip of the Brunswick Peninsula

The San Isidro Lighthouse stands at the southern tip of the Brunswick Peninsula, facing the Strait of Magellan. For decades it was a reference point for the ships that dared to cross the passage, in the years when doing so was a gamble.
We leave Punta Arenas early and drive 75 kilometres to where the road ends. From there you can only go on foot: four kilometres along the shoreline, over loose stone, taking about an hour and a half. The distance is not great, but the ground is tiring.
The lighthouse appears at the end. The walk back follows the same beach, and along the way whales and dolphins are often seen moving through the waters of the Strait.
There are no restrooms or services of any kind along the route. We recommend sturdy footwear and windproof, waterproof clothing.
Price per person, based on a group of 2 passengers. For other group sizes, please ask for a quote. Other languages on request, please check availability.
