Australis Cruises is nominated in the World Cruise Awards
We're honored to share that Australis has been nominated once again in the World Cruise Awards. 💙
There is a part of Patagonia no road reaches. The southern channels, the fjords of the Darwin range and the Cape Horn archipelago can only be seen by sea, and this four-night cruise is how you do it.
You sail aboard the Ventus Australis or the Stella Australis, ships built for these waters. Each day you go ashore by Zodiac at places with no jetties and no infrastructure: beaches, glaciers, forests and colonies of southern wildlife. A team of expedition guides leads every landing.
The service is all-inclusive: cabin accommodation, full board, all excursions and an open bar throughout the voyage.
All excursions are subject to weather and sea conditions. Down here the weather decides, and the captain determines on the day which landings are possible.
Passengers are responsible for carrying all documentation required to embark and disembark in both Chile and Argentina.
Also available as an 8-night round trip: please ask.
Price per person in a double cabin, category A, low season, boarding tax included. Please ask about other cabin categories and seasons.
Boarding at 6:00 p.m. in Ushuaia and departure along the Beagle Channel.
We sail to the end of the continent. Landing at Cape Horn depends entirely on sea and wind conditions and is decided on the day: when it happens, it is one of the hardest and most memorable landings in Patagonia. In the afternoon, a landing at Wulaia Bay.
Landing in front of Pía Glacier and sailing to Garibaldi Fjord, in the Darwin range.
A landing and walk to Águila Glacier, and a Zodiac trip to view Cóndor Glacier.
Landing on Magdalena Island, with its Magellanic penguin colony, and arrival in Punta Arenas at 12:30 p.m. In September and April this excursion is replaced by Marta Island.
